Your first step is to complete the ResponsiveEd VOLUNTEER Application. All volunteers are required to have an approved annual background check to volunteer on campus, including field day and field trips. Once approved, you will be added to the official list used by PTO to communicate various volunteer opportunities. (Be sure to complete the entire application.)
We encourage you to become a member of our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). It's a great way to connect with other families and get involved. Members are given the opportunity to vote on the budget, elect officers, and provide input throughout the year.
Complete the online volunteer interest form to let us know how you wish to serve our campus or leverage your talents. The PTO volunteer coordinator will then connect with you to help align your interests with potential volunteer opportunities (i.e., teacher appreciation, special projects/events, fundraising).
The role of a room parent is to be the liaison between the classroom teacher and families. While this can vary based upon the teacher or grade level (K-5th grade), it generally means:
