Your first step is to fill out the RES volunteer application. All volunteers have to have an approved background check through RES to help out with things around the school including field trips and field day. Once you are approved you are added to a list that we use to send out any volunteer opportunities.

Become a member of PTO. Members are given the opportunity to vote on budget, board members and other topics that might be presented throughout the year.

Fill out the volunteer interest form. Once you fill out the form Cliff Duke, our volunteer coordinator will reach out and discuss on how you can get involved.

YOU should be a room parent!

What Does A Room Parent Do?

The role of the Room Parent is to be a liaison between the classroom teacher and families. While this can vary based upon the teacher or grade level, it generally means:

working closely with the teacher to coordinate/implement classroom celebrations (typically two per year)
coordinating door decorations for the annual FCAC holiday door decorating contest in December
communicating with the teacher and helping where needed (soliciting volunteers; you do not always need to be present)
opportunity to chaperone on field trips

Complete the 2024-2025 RES background check application.
